Several Arrests and Incidents During the Past 10 Days

There were several police incidents during the last week and a half in Londonderry. The incidents range from thefts and arrests to motor vehicle accidents and DUI’s. The incidents begin on December 10, 2011 through early yesterday morning.

At about 12:49 AM on December 10, Londonderry police responded to an accident on Oakridge Drive. Though the log provides little details, the accident resulted in the arrest of Patrick Giordano, age 20 of Londonderry. He was charged with Driving While Intoxicated Second Offense, Unauthorized Use of a Propelled Vehicle, and Driving After Revocation or Suspension. He was released on a hands summons and given a court date of January 9, 2012 in Derry District Court.

The next incident, also an arrest, occurred on the 10th as well at 4:03 PM. Londonderry Police stopped a vehicle near Shelley Drive and arrested Frank Mazzone of Derry, age 27, for Disobeying an Officer and Failure to Obey Inspection Requirements. He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail and will be arraigned on December 30 at Derry District Court.

Just 16 minutes later, police responded to the scene of an accident on Pillsbury Road that was reported through 911. The accident caused Pillsbury Road to be closed, and arriving officers reported that there was a serious head injury and entrapment of one of the persons involved. It was also reported that there was a broken telephone pole.

Londonderry Fire assisted in the incident, reporting that there was an unconscious male with head trauma. The man, John Breen, age 60 of Litchfield, was transported to Parkland Medical Center by the fire department. He was also issued a hand summons and charged with Driving Under the Influence of Drugs or Liquor. He will he arraigned in Derry District Court on January 23, 2012.

Also on December 10, at about 10:24 PM, a manager at Hannaford supermarket on Hampton Drive called police to report suspicious cars in the parking lot. According to the log, a black car was parked in the lot for a while, then a green car pulled in a parked in a separate area of the lot for a while, then moved over and parked next to the green car. Officers responded and subsequently arrested Domenic Sarno, 23 of Londonderry, for Stalking. His bail was set at $1,000 cash and he was transported to Brentwood Jail.

At 11:57 on the 10th, Londonderry Police initiated a vehicle stop on Nashua Road. Upon testing the driver, Bradford Brodeur, age 51 of Londonderry, and determining he was intoxicated, he was arrested. Brodeur was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Drugs and Liquor and Speed. He was released on bail and will be arraigned on December 30 in Derry.

Another motor vehicle stop ended with another arrest at 1:11 AM on December 11, 2011. Near the rotary on Commerce Ave, a vehicle was stopped for erratic operation. The driver was tested and placed in custody. Priscilla Arbuckle, 58 of Manchester, was charged with Driving Under the Influence and was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail. She will be arraigned on December 30 in Derry.

On December 13, 2011, Londonderry Police responded to an alarm sounding at Evo Cycle on Rockingham Road. Officers arrived and discovered a large plate glass window on the front of the building was smashed out. After two searches of the inside of the building with a K9, police confirmed that no one was in the area.

Londonderry Police initiated a pedestrian check near the Shell Food Mart on Nashua Road at 2:07 AM on December 14, 2011. The check ended with the arrest of Hazel Hunt, age 32 of Manchester. Hunt was arrested on a Bench Warrant, but was also charged with Stalking. She was held on $1,000 cash bail and was arraigned on the 14th.

At about 5:11 PM on December 15, 2011, also at the Shell Food Mart on Nashua Road, Londonderry police stopped a vehicle. After running a check on the passenger, Adam King, age 22 of Keene, NH, police discovered a bench warrant. King was arrested and was also charged with Possession of Controlled or Narcotic Drugs. Another occupant, Jillian Pastena, 23 of Windham, was also arrested and charged with Possession of Controlled or Narcotic Drugs. King was released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail and Pastena was released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail. Both are scheduled to appear in Derry on January 9.

On December 16, at about 6:27 PM, police stopped a vehicle near Haywood Road. Two occupants, Zachery Trombly, 18 of Manchester, and Victoria Macoul, also 18 of Manchester, were subsequently arrested. Trombly was charged with Possession of Controlled or Narcotic Drugs and Possession of Drugs in a Motor Vehicle. His bail was set at $1,000 personal recognizance and he is scheduled to be arraigned in Derry on December 30. Macoul was charged with Possession of Controlled or Narcotic Drugs; her bail was set at $2,000 personal recognizance and she will appear on December 30 as well.

Between the hours of 9:17 AM and 3:44 PM on December 16, four people reported that their cars had been gone through on Wyndmere Drive. Some reports indicate that items were taken, including a base speaker, though some cars were just rummaged through and nothing appeared missing. One reported damage to the glove box.

The following day, on December 17, between 10:21 AM and 5:37 PM, six people located on Fieldstone Drive reported their cars had been gone through. Though some callers reported nothing was taken, there were items missing from others. These included binoculars, a GPS system, and glasses.

In most of these incidents on both days, it was reported that the cars were left unlocked overnight.
